Room 8 have begun looking at what will happen at our Kaikville market day in week 7.

We have decided to make Jellies to sell as part of our Inquiry for the Kaikville market day . If each child in Room 8 brought a packet of jelly for us to make into jelly that would we really helpful.

The children have decided to call our Company the 'Room 8  Kaikville Jelly shop". We will make our jellies in the 2 days before the Friday market day.

During this inquiry we will be looking at how our company will work together to make our product and what we need to sell it like posters and packaging.  Each child will get a wage of Kaik dollars for working in the Room 8 jelly factory.

We are  also talking about how we earn money, what our parents do to earn money and why we need to earn money. The BIG question is 'Does Money make the world go round.'

Please send your packet of jelly along in the next couple of weeks ready for the production line.

Our letter of the week next week is Aa. Many children form 'a' incorrectly so practise of this at home is really helpful.

A focus in maths over the next few weeks is counting backwards confidently first from 10 and then from any number to 20. A good activity when walking home or driving in the car.

Happy learning Susan Oldfield
