At our last assembly we asked the children who had represented Kaikorai in a sport this term to stand. It was a phenomenal response and we are always heartened to see so many children enjoying a number of sports.
Twenty two children went on from the North Zone Athletic Sports to compete in the Otago Championships. Athletes had given up a number of lunch times to train for this event. Baton changing is the key!
Our Under 10 Girls relay teams are the Otago Champs! We congratulate Emma Grey, Holly Rowcroft, Anabelle Batchelor and Deborah Nika.
Emma was also placed second in Otago for long jump, Ava Holland was 5th in discus and Molly Ballard was 7thIn the 800m
We are extremely proud of all our athletes who have competed at the Caledonian this term.
Thank you again to all the parents, caregivers and students who have coached, managed and supported our futsal, touch, flippaball and t-ball teams.
We would not be able to offer these sports without your help.
