Busy start to the term
We have had a very busy start to the term with an emphasis on running for fitness and sorting out the names for the Hills Cluster Cross Country. Notices are now at home and due back to Miss Ward by Friday this week.
All classes are working hard with their Inquiries into creating their section of the school movie. We are writing narratives and story boards, identifying filming locations, developing costuming, selecting songs and sound effects, and choosing camera angles. It is a huge co-operative challenge that draws on all our KAIK values. We are all enjoying this creative opportunity.
On Monday 31st of July, The NED Show visited our school. It was a character education programme based on NED (who was a loveable cartoon character). NED’s name was an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. Gary the demonstrator, took us on an entertaining storytelling adventure. Using his versatile skills, he brightened NED’s story using yoyos, magic tricks, balloon tying and his hilarious crazy voices.
Our Kaikorai children all thoroughly enjoyed the show, and it’s positive life message.
