Term 4 programme

The senior classes have had a very busy lead up to the end of term.

For Physical Education we have been down to Nairn Street Park to do some sprint training for athletics, and we have also had some excellent training in cricket skills from Sport Otago.

Our Visual Arts programmes have been very pleasing over these last few weeks, as we have developed our ideas for our calendar art. The classrooms are looking very attractive with these works on display and also other examples of art works.

The Paralympics have provided some thought provoking discussions and debates centred on the place of kindness alongside the drive of people aspiring to be the best. Our concepts of fair play, and recognising the amazing achievements that some people can attain has been interesting.

Next term we look forward to contributing to our school fair. As well as that we will also become scientists who learn about various chemicals and their properties, even solving a mystery using our scientific skills and knowledge.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
