Senior News

On Wednesday the 8th of March, the Year 6 students went to Kaikorai Valley College to participate in a Sports Expo Day

The senior classes have all been busy with their Inquiry learning about Sustainability. A recent highlight has been a visit from a guest speaker, Anne Dennison, who showed how she manages to limit her household waste to a small snaplock bag per year. All other discarded items are either recycled, reused, or rotted in the compost heap. She showed how she is able to limit her trash by refusing unwanted wrappings and reducing what she actually needs.

Year 6 camp preparation is now complete and we have a lot of very excited students wanting to get away and experience new challenges. A few slightly nervous ones too! Year 5 students are not too envious because they have their own special programme running next week too. It includes some tramping, science/scenic photography and horse riding. Thank you to all the parents who are able to give their time to support these programmes and the students' experiences.
