Makerspace

We need your help!

Our kitchen and the upstairs landing of the junior block is slowly being transformed into a Makerspace where children can not only create things with food but also electronics, green screening, coding and a 3D printer.

The Parent Group have helped support the purchasing of the expensive items such as the electronics but we need your help to get a lot of cheaper recyclable materials for prototyping and creating.

Items we are looking for include the following;

  • Feathers
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Bottle tops (Milk and metal)
  • Toilet rolls
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Batteries - especially flat batteries
  • Wool
  • String
  • Cardboard
  • Alligator clips
  • Ribbon
  • Miniature animal toys or cars
  • Straws
  • Plastic eyes
  • Playdough

A box will be placed in each classroom for collection next week and the class that contributes the most will win a small class prize.
