What a fabulous end to sport for 2017!

Last week we had a number of shiny trophies added to our collection. A big congratulations to our futsal teams, the Kaikorai Cheetahs, Snakes, Leopards, Hawks, Zebras and Pandas who all won their grades. Also congratulations goes to our Year 5 & 6 girls touch team who are back to back champions!

This term we took a group of children to the North Zone athletics. Children who were placed in the top 6 qualified for the Otago Championships. Kaikorai competed well at this event with Tom Wilson placed second in long jump and third in the 60m sprint and Holly Rowcroft placed second in the 75m sprint. Our Under 11 Girls Relay team were well deserved champions! A big thank you to Mr Reid and Mrs Kernaghan who gave up their time to train our athletes. We are very grateful for your support and expertise! Congratulations to all the athletes who competed at both events. Your determination and sportsmanship was outstanding. We are very proud of you all!

Lastly, a big thank you to all parents and teachers who have offered their time to transport, coach and support sport at Kaikorai Primary this year. We cannot thank you enough. We are looking forward to seeing another strong year of sport at Kaikorai next year.

All the best to our Year 6 athletes as you move on. We look forward to following your sporting achievements.
