Well here we are in week 6... where did the first 6 weeks of term 3 go?

The Junior classes can tell you that it has been a busy time for us all as we prepare and  film our part of the movie. Room 11 and Room 9 filmed this week so things are certainly happening. Room  12 and 8 will get their segment filmed next week and R10 the following week. Thanks  to all of the parents who have helped with costumes, hair, make-up, face painting, as we really do appreciate your support.

All classes are truly immersed in the world of traditional stories and fairy tales and the writing and art that has emerged from this study is exciting. Room 8 got to hear Room 11's "Who am I?" stories and what great clues they wrote about their favourite characters.

Right now all Junior classes are having a  two week focus on basic facts. They all did a pretest this week and we are now working on improving our scores by further learning the  addition and subtraction facts. Each child will have a goal of facts they need to learn. Your home support is vital in this focus.

Each Junior class is to have a golf lesson on either the 13th or 14th of September. We did this last year and it was well worth while.

We are also off to the Art Gallery in week 9 and 10, dates and times to come home soon.

Room 8 has its assembly on the 22nd of September. Parents are most welcome.  Room 9 had a very successful assembly last week which everyone really enjoyed. The photos are all of Room 9 on stage.

Thank you to the parents who helped with PMP this term and to those who came on trips and supported us in so many ways.

A reminder that before the 8.30 bell goes each morning children are not to be inside classrooms. It seems that a number of children are coming to school earlier and earlier. This is vital  teacher preparation time so please respect this.

Happy  learning from the Junior Teachers.
