The beginning of this term has seen the middle syndicate and the rest of the school dive straight into our learning to be filmmakers.
The classes have been learning about camera angles, different types of shots and story boarding. We have been busy planning our scenes and we are in the early stages of creating the storyboards we will use to direct our film. We are on the lookout for some costumes to borrow, we need a leprechaun, lion, bull, chinese dragon, and several dinosaur onesies or costumes.
Room 6 children have had fun completing new and exciting activities with Pip Dick as part of the maker space programme. Watching online tutorials to help build independence in their learning was an important part of making sure they got the most out of their learning. Sharing their learning with each other has also been a highlight. Rooms 3 and 5 will have an opportunity to work with Pip later this term.
We have a number of upcoming events, you should had received a notice about Tirohanga and our trip to the Art Gallery via e-mail. If you have not received this, please inform your child’s classroom teacher so that we can update the class e-mail lists. You will receive most information via e-mail although permission slips will continue to be sent home on paper.
