Comings and Goings....
As you can see from the upcoming events on the main page we have a very busy next three weeks coming up with lots of events inside and outside of the school. Please note the (ST) means the children have to wear the school top.
A lot of these events will revolve around the school movie as you will read in the syndicate news section. I have been very impressed with the ideas that the classes have come up with and also the level of technical skills the children are learning about with many classes using stop motion animation, green screen and other apps to make their contribution amazing!
Continuing the theme of comings and goings, we have some staffing announcements.
We welcome back Lana Wagner who will be working as a teacher aide in Room 12 and Room 8 from Monday the 14th.
We have advertised today the position of Deputy Principal. After 12 years at Kaikorai School, Linda Martin will be leaving us at the end of the year as she heads into retirement. Her service to the school has been immense from taking netball teams, gifted and talented programmes, leading the school in science and assessment and running a fantastic classroom. Her contribution to the school is too long to list in its entirety. We know that she will enjoy her last two terms teaching at Kaikorai as she looks forward to spending more time with family, home renovations and traveling next year.
