Winner, Winner! Chicken Dinner!

The mighty Kaikorai Cats win their first match, 6 - 0

Following last years battle of losses, the Mighty Cats have turned everything around and won their first game ever against Balaclava Blue.

A 3:30pm kickoff saw the game start with only 4 Cats on court. But, we didn't have to wait long for Manu and Mackenzie to show up and make our team complete. The only player missing in action was Mason due to injury.

The first half saw an unemployed Charlotte in goal due to all the action happening down the other end of the pitch.

After an offensive onslaught, we saw Phoenix take a quick corner to Manu who flicked it on to Sophie and BOOM, Goal time!

Then it was Thomas' turn with a scorcher into the back of the net and another goal from a very confusing penalty situation.

Halftime and Cats up 3 - Nil

Charlotte swapped with Phoenix for Goal Keeper duties in the second half because she wanted to run with feeling that more goals up for grabs - and she wasn't wrong.

Mackenzie and Charlotte battled in the mid-field with some great tackles and passes, then Boo Yaa! Manu Scores.

We would have been happy with that but no one told Thomas, who went on to score 2 more goals and claim the MVP.

Three cheers and hand shakes saw the Cats exercise the most important part of winning - staying humble and being a good sport.

Great work today - So proud of everybody's efforts and we will see you all for practice Next Monday.
