Swimming and Tirohanga Camp

Wow, this term is just going to fly by! We hope you enjoyed your long weekend and are ready for a busy few weeks with the school fair, swimming and Tirohanga.

Swimming started this week and all of the teachers were really impressed with the children remembering their togs after a long weekend. We will be swimming on Monday and Tuesday this week coming, and next.

Week 4

Room 3: 1.00

Room 5: 1.30

Room 6: 2.00

Week 5

Room 3 9:30

 Room 5 10:00

 Room 6 10:30

Next week we along with Room 4 go on our annual adventure to Camp Tirohanga. Unfortunately the forecast is still showing showers for all of the days we will be there so you may like to pack some extra warm clothes.

Camp Tirohanga is a great place to practise being independent, we expect children to look after their belongings and keep their bunk rooms tidy. The children are also expected to pack their bags before returning to school. We have suggested to children that they practise by tidying their room, folding washing at home this weekend, and by packing their bags with you for Tirohanga.

Lastly we would like to congratulate Ashley Laing and Laura Jennings (Room 3 and 5 student teachers) who have both secured teaching positions back in their home towns of Nelson and Palmerston North. Well done girls we are very proud!
