Room 4 wants help!  Please help us and reduce the plastic in our lunches that gets thrown away!

Did you know there is no away?  You can't throw something away.  There is only one planet and no away!

Do you know how much plastic is in the ocean? Well have a look at the picture below.

Room 4 have found more than 150 pieces of plastic in our school grounds and hundreds more in our lunch boxes!  Parents, it’s up to you to help us make a difference.  On behalf of Room 4 and our planet, please could you stop using plastic and use something else.   If it's more than 150 pieces of plastic a week in our school, and if ⅕ of that goes to the ocean and a ⅓ kills a marine animal that's 10 animals a week.  Plus think about those poor birds. You can help by using reusable bags or buying some 'honeywraps' for your kids sandwiches.  A few dollars makes a big difference. Please could you just spend a few extra dollars and save our wildlife?
