Steampunk Open Day

By Simon Clarke | Posted: Wednesday March 29, 2017

The Famous only in Dunedin, Steampunk group, the Gasworkers Guild of Gadgeteers, invites all children (big and little) to a fun day at the Dunedin Gas Works Museum on Sunday 30 April 2017 from 10 am in the Fitting Room. There will be a variety of steampunk making activities including making arm gauntlets, hats and medals. The making activities will commence with sessions at 10.30 and 1 pm with 3 making stations. There will be a quiet space for littlies and colouring in, in the library.

There will be a chance for kids to have a go at splendid teapot racing, a photo booth and steampunk dress up area. The steam will be running in the engine room, so it is a great chance to check out this fantastic facility if you have not done so before. It is one of only three working gas works in the world.

All children must be accompanied by an adult -, especially at the making tables. Entry is $5.00 per person, or $15 for a family of 3 plus, proceeds going to the Gas works. The Lions will be holding their sausage sizzle on the day.

If there are any questions please email me.
