Chiefs battle hard

First game over and the Chiefs draw 2 - 2.

Well done to all the parents with finding a park at Dunedin's hottest attraction in time for kick off.

A well fought game saw the Chiefs battle with no substitutes in 31 degree heat that saw even the parents sweaty and pink faced.

Half time saw the Teams drawn at 1 all after Tayla combined with a fantastic pass from Maggie to put one past the keeper.

In the second half Mason,  came out of goals and did a great job battling amongst the mid-field heat whilst Bella took over the Goal Keeping duties and saved many difficult strikes with confidence and skill.

The Chiefs were trailing 2 -1 in the dying minutes of the game. Charlotte clears the ball long and Maggie runs it down all the way into "Shooters" goal box. A battle of epic proportions erupts and Tayla kicks it into the back of the net.

2 - 2 and Full time!  Great work Chiefs!

Really impressed with everyones efforts and I can't wait for next week.

There will be a practice at lunch time so allow for your Futsal champion to be wearing good footwear. Monday at Kaikorai weather permitting.

We will be  running over movement drills and basic skills. In the mean time, check out the Video below for some Futsal inspiration.

Great work team Chiefs.
