Trip to the Arts School
As per the notice sent home last term, Room 9 will be visiting the Arts School this Wednesday – 26th July. All children are required to wear their school tops on that day. As it is winter, please remind your child to put a long sleeve t-shirt underneath, for extra warmth.
Room 9 Assembly
Here is a very important date to put in your calendar! Room 9 will be hosting assembly in week 5 – Friday 25th August. Assembly begins at 11.00am. We hope to see you there.
Make it Monday!
‘Make it Monday’ takes the place of ‘Fun Friday.’ It will begin in week 2 and run through until week 7, inclusive. This junior programme begins at 1.30pm and finishes at 2.45pm. If you are able to help support this programme by giving up your time, please do just come along. Your support is very much appreciated.
PMP
PMP will continue to take place on a Monday and Wednesday morning at 9.05 – 9.40am. This term it runs from week 2, through until week 5, inclusive. Again, if you are able to come along to support this programme, please simply turn up on the day. I encourage all children to wear suitable clothing on PMP days for easy movement.
Library
Our library time will continue to be Friday at 9.00am. Your child will need to have their library books returned to the library container in the classroom, by Friday morning.
Homework
Just a reminder about homework:
Poem on a Monday night, in their poem book.
Reading book Monday to Thursday.
Spelling - Comes home on a Monday and words are tested on Friday.
Maths - ‘Xtramaths’ and ‘Mathletics’ online on a regular basis.
Communication and Parent/Teacher Partnership
We have an open door policy in Room 9, and encourage parents to take the time to come and look around our room before and after school. The children are very proud of their work and are always keen to share their learning with you.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child, I am always available to speak to parents any day before school, as well as Wednesday through to Friday after school. (Monday and Tuesday afternoons are my meeting and duty days).
