It had finally come! The Chinese Moon Festival. Seven children from each class in the senior syndicate had been chosen to go to Columba college for a festival celebration. First we split up into two groups at Columba college. Some children went to a dance class and some went to a Chinese language class.

In the Chinese class we played a chopstick game. We had to pick up jaffas from a bowl and put them into another bowl. We think everyone had fun. The team that got the most jaffas in the other bowl won. It was really hard!

In the dance class we had to learn a funny dance and do it to music. Some of the boys were so lucky because they got to dance with some of the Columba girls!

Then we went back to the Chinese classroom to eat moon cake. First we watched a clip on the moon festival. Finally we got to chose between three moon cakes. One with nuts, one plain and one with duck egg yolk. I had the plain one and it tasted like tofu, it was alright but I wouldn't eat it everyday. On the way out we got a fortune cookie each. If you have read this here is your fortune.
