Kia ora Room 2a parents and whānau! My name is Ryan Inglis and I am the new senior syndicate teacher in Room 2a.
I’m very happy to be joining the team at Kaikorai, and I look forward to working with your child and developing positive learning experiences for them.
At the start of this term in Room 2a we will be focusing on addition, subtraction, and multiplication strategies, descriptive writing, and preparing for the exciting year 6 camp. We will also be looking at the big idea of sustainability.
At times I will assign work to be completed at home, which should not take longer than 20 minutes. However, I fully realise how busy households can be with extracurricular activities, and will be very flexible with this. I do not intend to assign any homework on weekends, as I believe this is the best opportunity for students to spend quality time with family and friends.
