I hope you have had a restful and awesome break from school! A number of our class in Term 2 have already been bringing along their own knitting, in anticipation of learning to knit sessions this term. Also as part of our technology sessions, we are developing our construction skills.
Thanks to wonderful second-hand shops in South Dunedin, I have gathered enough knitting needles for each child to start knitting on Monday. We do need an abundance of wool, so if you have any balls left over, please bring them to school. Our knitting sessions will be on Monday and Wednesday 2.30-3pm, and we would welcome any family members that were free to come along and give some assistance. Some of us will need encouragement, as well as help to learn to handle our needles and wool!
As part of our ongoing Inquiry work around choosing and deciding what new furniture we need for our classroom, we are also developing our construction skills, so any cardboard or cardboard boxes would be very much appreciated!
I look forward to seeing you all on Monday!
