Week 7 in the Super Squad!

Dear Parents,

Where is this term going! Week 7 already and the students continue to wow us with their new found independence. They are busy every day completing ‘must do’ and ‘can do’ activities while we get through their reading, writing and maths. Get them to tell you all about these.

On Friday we had a brainstorm about our space and the students came up with a way they would like the classroom spaces to be arranged. They decided they would like a quiet zone and a working zone and spent part of the afternoon moving the furniture to where they would like it. This week has been very successful with the students moving through the spaces well.

Over the last two weeks for maths we have been looking at before and after numbers and figuring out ten more or less. The next two weeks our focus will shift to place value. During writing time the students have been enjoying working in small focus groups with a teacher to allow them to reach their goals.

We are looking forward to our Museum trip on Friday with Room 7 going in the morning from 9.45 and Room 9 leaving at 12.45. Please remember to send your child with their school top. Room 9 children can order pizza lunch as they will have this before leaving.

It was great to catch up with everyone at interviews last week. We love sharing all the fantastic work your child has been doing. If you do have any questions or concerns please do contact us via email or come in and see us.

Thanks,

Felicia & Emma
