Well here we are nearly at the end of a busy and fun term...
What a great visit we had to the Otago Museum where we got to visit Animal Attic. Thank you to the parents who came along and helped with groups it was most appreciated. The children came back to school having found out lots about animals and we even found new words like arthropods and reptiles. Thanks to the parent group who help fund the buses for our trips.
Swimming...After much negotiating and searching we now have a reasonable price for the buses to and from swimming. A notice is going home in the next week with swimming details and costs for our term 2 swimming programme. Please return the permission slip part of the notice by the end of the term at the latest.
Keeping Ourselves Safe... begins next week. During the next two weeks Constable Ross will be visiting each classroom to deliver four components of the programme. This will have been covered at our meeting for parents this week. Children will have something to talk to you about each night to do with keeping themselves safe.
Healthy Lunches... It has come to the teachers' notice that many of the children's lunch boxes contain sweets and high sugar treats. Please think carefully about the amount of packaged food that is going into your child's lunch. We encourage healthy eating at school so please support us by making good choices for lunch boxes. No sweet drinks or lollies in lunch boxes we say treats are for home.
Enjoy your Easter break!
We look forward to seeing you back rested and relaxed on Wednesday next week.
Happy Easter from the Junior team.
