Assembly and thanks from Mrs Crump.

This Friday 23rd is the Room 8 class assembly in the hall. You are invited along and so are grandparents. It will start at 11.00 and run for about 20 minutes. The children will be making invitations to bring home as part of our reading programme this week.

We have loved having Mrs Crump in Room 8 for the past 4 weeks. Here is a letter she asked me to forward to you.

Dear Parents,
I want to thank you for welcoming me into the Room 8 family. It has been wonderful to get to know and work with your lovely children over the past 4 weeks. Although my practicum is finished, I will always be grateful to the kids of Room 8 for giving me a great teaching experience. I am particularly grateful to Mrs Oldfield for her expertise, support, and kindness in letting me teach in her class. Thank you everyone!
Kind regards,
Jen Crump

With 4 weeks of term left to go our reading programme will run for a further 2-3 weeks. After that we will have shared poems to read each day. Please make sure that each Friday you share and support your child as they read their poem to you.

Reminder...Please search at home for any library books and reading books and send them back.

Our focus for weeks 7 and 8 is a class swap as we look at Christmas around NZ. Each teacher will have a different story and a craft activity to share with the classes as they rotate each morning to a different teacher.

Thanks Susan Oldfield.
