Sad news.

It is with great sadness and regret that I need to inform the community that one of our students, Toby Robins has passed away.

Toby has been fighting an aggressive form of Lymphoma since the start of 2018 but sadly the many treatments that he has undertaken have been unsuccessful.

Toby will be remembered fondly by all who have met him. He was a brilliant student who epitomised the schools values. Toby was kind to all and he always made decisions which had a positive effect not only on himself but all around him. He was one of our most independent students and a natural leader. He was always keen in everything he did, a top scholar and a great athlete with a love of rugby.

Your own child may have many questions for you over the next few days so it is important to take the time to talk to them and monitor their behaviour and emotions carefully.

The family have requested a private cremation but they will be holding a celebration of Toby’s life.  This will be held at 2pm on the 22nd of January at the Fullwood Room in the Dunedin Centre.

Toby will be greatly missed by his friends, class mates and staff and on behalf of the whole community I know our thoughts and condolence’s go out to Carolyn, Ben, Felix, Oliver and the wider family for their loss.

Kind regards

Simon Clarke
