Kaikville! Kaikville! Kaikville! Apprentice week is complete, and MPs and CEOs have been selected.
We were very proud to see some of our middle students bravely share presentations and apply for these positions. This is the first time our middle students have been able to apply for a job of their choice and they are all excited about their business plans. Children have spent class time learning about real world jobs too. You may like to talk to your child about jobs that you have had as a child, young adult and now.
Kaikville is a brilliant opportunity for students to learn financial literacy to gain an understanding of the value of money, opportunity cost, and saving. They have learned about the security features of New Zealand money, how money is made and have designed their own money too. If students still have money from the last Kaikvile this is still legal tender and may be used on the market day.
This week we will be taking a break from Kaikville before we dive straight into a full week of working in our business on Monday the 3rd of June with our Market Day on Friday the 7th of June.
