Room 10 News Week 10, Term 2

By Paula Fisher | Posted: Saturday June 29, 2019

Hi everyone. I just wanted to touch base on a few matters that are pertinent to Room 10 children for this week.

1. Assembly

Just a reminder that Room 10 is hosting Assembly this Friday. Assembly is in the school hall and begins at 11.00am.  We would love to see you there!

2. Reading Eggs

The Junior Syndicate has purchased a subscription for Reading Eggs for the rest of the year.  I have glued login details into your child's spelling notebook.  This will come home on Monday.  Your child also brought home a letter on Friday regarding Reading Eggs.  Attached to this letter was another copy of your child's personal login details. Please note that some children's login details have changed - including the password.

3. Sight Word Walls

On Friday I sent home a new sight word wall with those children who are still learning their 100 sight words.  New word walls are glued regularly into your child's home book.  Please keep a look out for them.  Thank you to those parents who are consistently supporting their child in the learning of these words.

4. Spelling

As it is the last week of the term, there will be no spelling this week.  Instead, it would be beneficial if your child could have a few short sessions on Reading Eggs.  All children will still have a daily reading book this week - Monday to Thursday, as per the usual routine.

5.  School Interviews

Thank you to those parents who have booked in for school interviews for this Tuesday and Wednesday night.  These interviews are very beneficial to you and your child.  I still have a few parents who have not yet booked.  Bookings close tomorrow - Sunday.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to talking to you all at interviews this coming week.
