STEM Successes

Kaikorai recently had our teams competing at the EPRO8 Challenge and Robocup with both teams coming in third.

Well done to Lukas Gardner and Christopher McArthur who came third in the dance section at the recent Robocup competition.  Lukas and Chris continued the long history of success at Robocup for students from Kaikorai School.   What is even more remarkable is that they got their place winning entry completed in just two weeks.   You can see an interview and their winning dance in this terms KPSTV episode.

It all came down to seconds and a knot for one of our two EPro8 teams.  The BB/CC team of Iyla Cooney, Nout van Broekhoven, Alex Bull and Charlotte Cane were 10 points behind the second place team with seconds to spare and they just needed to tie a knot to make their moving elevator work but unfortunately time was against them and they came third.  This year only the top two teams move through to the final.  Well done to our sixth place team of Ezra Duckles, Nate Clarke, Ali Culpin and Luke Milburn
