Toitu trip this Monday

We are departing Kaikorai School by bus at 10:15am, returning at 2:30pm. Children will need to bring a packed lunch, drink and wear their school top.

Thank you for the many offers of help, I really appreciate parents taking time to go on trips with us and those who are willing to step in if we don't get enough helpers. Fortunately for us, this time we have enough.

For those of you who are coming can you please meet us in the classroom at 10am.

Production

"Beatle mania" has spread to Room 3 and the children have worked together to create movements along with a small group of our very own Room 3 choreographers to create our dance routine.

Our dance tells the story of the Beatles visit to Dunedin and includes fans, police and of course the Beatles. I know some parents have visited $2 shops around town (although probably not $2 I imagine) and bought some beautiful costumes for our fans. If you would like to do this that's great although not an expectation.

If you have any police hats and badges in your dress-up collection that you don't mind us borrowing we would love to use them.

What should children wear?

Fans

Jeans or brownish coloured pants (preferably with pockets)  with a shirt or t-shirt (not white).

Bright coloured dress

Police

White shirt or top, dark pants with pockets

Beatles

This one is a little more tricky as I don't imagine people have flared suits for children in their dress up boxes. If you have something you don't mind lending we would love to borrow it. If needed I can organise a trip for the for boys to savemart to find something that could work.

Many Thanks

Sarah
