Read on to find out what the senior syndicate has been involved in this term.
What an outstanding term the senior crew has had. The pinnacle, of course, would have to be the 'A day in the life' school production. The dances were largely choreographed and generated by the children which is amazing. We saw so much growth both in confidence on stage and being able to move in time to the music.
All children were enthusiastic, full of smiles and proud to be on stage and telling our story of the last 150 years! I really thank you for your help in sorting and making costumes, providing props and attending the show.
This week we were lucky enough to be invited to the Balmac Wearable Arts Show. It was really exciting for the senior team to see former pupils from their school, on stage wearing costumes designed out of recyclable materials. We all really appreciated the invite and it was a super enjoyable afternoon.
Looking ahead to Term 4, we have senior syndicate swimming beginning the first Monday back. Please ensure you have completed the form sent out by your child's teacher as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your offers of help. The cost of the lessons will be on your school account and all lessons are charged for including any absences.
In week 2 of next term, we are celebrating our school's 150th birthday culminating in a reunion the weekend of Labour Weekend. All pupils will be making an exhibition piece for our Kaikorai Museum which will be on display for our visitors during the reunion. There will be a mix of technology-based and handcrafted displays that tell our story of 150 years of KPS. We hope you are able to pop along and looks at our exhibits - more information will be sent home closer to the time.
I hope your children have a well earned, restful break.
As always, thank you for your support.
