A great term ahead coming up!

Kia ora Room 1 Whānau, I hope your child is well-rested and ready for a busy and exciting Term 4.

We have swimming beginning on the first day back. Please ensure your child has their togs, towel, and goggles and are wearing clothes suitable for walking to and from Moana Pool. Thanks to those parents who have offered to help. We will be leaving school at 10:30 am each Monday. If you are unsure of the dates you have offered to help - please email and let me know. Please note if your child forgets their togs they are able to hire them from Moana Pool and you will be invoiced for this. All lessons are changed for regardless of attendance.

Room 1 will be learning the recorder from Week 2.  Recorders are available for purchase from the school office or can be supplied from home. Please ensure your child is ready to learn the recorder from week 2.

This term for the first few weeks we will be focusing on our school's 150th birthday. Your children have been making classrooms of the future and will be recording videos taking tours of their classrooms to show at the reunion. In week 2 we will be having a school-wide birthday party week with activities daily.

We also will be teaching run jump throw skills in order to select the team for the North Zone athletics day.  If you have a skill in the area of athletics, we would love you to reach out.

Lastly, a date in your diary for Year 6 parents - we will be having our Year 6 leavers assembly on the evening of Thursday 12th December. Start time 5:30 pm. Further details closer to the time.

As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help in any way

Ngā mihi
