Dear Parents
As part of the school rebuild, some asbestos has been identified and is scheduled for removal to coincide with the relevant staging of the works. The Ministry of Education has decided to bring forward the removal of one small area in the hall due to the length of time before demolition and potential for degradation. It is a small area of vinyl in the hall kitchen. Access has been restricted until the removal which will start on Wednesday 26th of August and conclude on the 31st of August. The Library and Hall will be closed during this period to all apart from the contractors.
Kelly Club will be operating out of Room 12 until Tuesday the 1st of September.
The asbestos removal will be carried out by qualified professionals who have comprehensive safety plans and pose no risk to your child or the wider community.
