Keeping Ourselves Safe - NZ Police

A reminder of the KOS parent meeting that is being held tomorrow (Tuesday 8th September).

Keeping Ourselves Safe consists of a range of child protection resources to help children and young people learn and apply a range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others.

Each class will have 4 sessions (30 minutes x 4 for the Juniors and middles, 45 minutes x 4 for the Seniors) delivered by Constable Emily Plew and Constable Ross Greer.

What students will learn

The year 0–3 resources will help students to learn:

  • a range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others
  • what they can do if they have been or are being abused.

What students will learn

The  year 4–6 resources help students to learn:

  • a range of safe practices that they can use when interacting with others
  • what they can do if they have been or are being abused
  • what happens when abuse is reported.

We will be hosting a parent meeting on Tuesday 8th September at 3:30pm in Room 1A. Please complete this form to indicate if you are/are not able to attend. At this meeting, Constables Plew and Greer will share the resources and there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the programme's content.
