Read on to find out what the senior crew has been up to!
It was so fabulous to see so many whānau in our classes last Friday listening to presentations about PBL, asking questions, trying out robots, scanning QR codes, and viewing the projects. We thank you for your support over this busy time and we hope you too have enjoyed being part of our PBL journey thus far.
We have had 2 swimming lessons so far. Thank you for the support in walking to the pool and supervising the swimmers. In a few weeks, your child will have water skills for life session where they are to bring long-sleeved tops and track pants. They wear their clothes and life jackets in the water and simulate being in the open water in a difficult situation.
The planning for Year 5 activity week and for Year 6 camp is in full swing. You would have received requests for help with these activities as well as medical information forms. Please contact me if you require clarification in any area. We are hoping for some settled Spring weather in order to make the most of our outdoor experiences.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the Kahurangi Dance Group that travelled down from Hawkes Bay last week. They used drama, dance, singing, poi and taiaha to retell local myths and legends. It was a high energy performance enjoyed by the whole school. Ka mau te wehi! Awesome!
Another very important date for our senior school families is the Year 6 leavers assembly - this is set for the last week of school, Wednesday, December 9th. Closer to the time I will be asking for help on the evening from some Year 5 families to assist with the supper. Please put this date into your calendar and lookout for more information soon.
As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help in any way.
Ngā mihi maioha.
