Thank you to the Parent Group who have fully funded our school to attend this event!
Our whole school is attending this upcoming concert (this is dependent on Covid levels as the tour will only go ahead under Level 1).
Classes will be using buses from 12.15 pm (from the school) and will be bused back to school at 2 pm.
These concerts are always fun, high-energy events, and as well as an educational introduction to the symphonic wind band and basic elements of music, the concert will include everything from more classical music through to pop and movie tunes, their very popular resident Drum Line, and some special guest vocalists.
This band is 65 musicians made up of some of Wellington’s top performers, who alongside their work in the band also play with the likes of the NZSO and Orchestra Wellington, and tour with NZ bands including Shapeshifter, The Black Seeds, L.A.B., and Trinity Roots.
The band are always excited to present concerts for schools during our summer tours and are thrilled to be coming to the Dunedin Town Hall for the first time in a number of years.
If you do not want your child to attend this event, please contact the school.
