Junior News

It’s hard to believe we are already three weeks down. Children have been busy during this time learning new routines and settling into their new environments. It is so important that we take the time to do this to ensure students know what they are doing, to get them ready for learning and to build independence and self managing skills.

A huge thank you for supporting us by dropping your child at the Tyne Street gate in the mornings. We know this can seem daunting especially when they are little but we continue to be impressed by the resilience shown. Know that by doing this your child is developing independence skills that will continue to help them as they move through their schooling lives.

We look forward to seeing you all at parent interviews in Week 5. This is a great time to check in with how your child is going and to see how you can help at home. As always, if you have any questions or concerns before this please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.

Lastly, we welcome Ariane Cox (Room 7) and Chantelle Bradfield-Stanger (Room 9) our wonderful 3rd Year College of Education students. Ariane and Chantelle will be out spending most Tuesdays with us and have two block placements in Term 2 and 3. Room 7 and 9 are lucky to have such enthusiastic student teachers working with them.

Many thanks

Junior Teachers
