We are excited to share our PBL learning with you this week - we do hope you can join us!
It is hard to believe another PBL unit is coming to an end. When we evaluate the unit of work with the children, comments like "this is my favourite PBL out of all of them" "I always learn so much" " I enjoy working with different groups of people" - statements such as these show why PBL is so valuable. I am very proud of all our students how they have been challenged with the new learning and misconceptions about the first arrivals to Aotearoa. I look forward to celebrating our learning with you on Tuesday and Wednesday.
World Maths Day was in week one. This provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the awesomeness that is mathematics. It was discussed that maths is all around us and all hobbies that our tamariki do all involve maths - so much so, we could not find one hobby that didn't have an element of maths!
The Road To Tokyo fitness challenge has been engaging in all classes. The kilometers have been accumulating and we are slowly tracking towards Tokyo on the digital map. We have Suzie Bates - an Olympic ambassador visiting Kaikorai in a few weeks and it will great to hear her experiences.
As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me or your child's teacher if we can help in any way.
