It is with great pleasure and excitement that we can proudly announce Beth Downie as Principal of Kaikorai School from the start of the 2022 school year. Beth's vision for the future of the school, alignment with teaching and learning values and transitional leadership of school-wide pedagogy in the last 2 years came through extremely strongly during the selection process.
Beth has been part of the school community since 2019 as Deputy Principal and has been instrumental in the leadership and development of project-based learning, use of technology through the Hills cluster initiative, and our move to learning to use and maximise flexible working spaces in the new buildings. As a Board, we are delighted to appoint Beth to lead us all in the next stage in the school's development.
The board were extremely happy with the quality and calibre of applicants with a significant number of current principals applying. It supports what we believed that Kaikorai primary is a place people want to be part of due to the strength of the staff and community. The fact that we received so many quality applicants who wanted to make our school and community their home was heartening.
We look forward to updating you soon on further developments around building and staffing updates in the near future
