Senior News

The excitement about the school movie is building! Almost all of the senior classes have written their scripts, planned their costumes, and have been on set and filmed their scenes. It has been so exciting to watch the progression from generating initial movie ideas to the final movie concept. We cannot wait to see all the amazing scripts, ideas, and filming come together for the finished product!

The keyword we have been using amongst the senior staff this term is pivot - we have pivoted our ideas numerous times in order to be able to continue to have year 6 camp, year 5 activity week, senior assemblies, and the school movie. Although Y5 activity week has had to change again due to level 2 requirements we are excited for the week we have planned. Miss Hardie will be in touch next week with a new plan.

As a senior team, we have been thinking about hauora and wellbeing and practicing some techniques when we feel the need to be calm. I encourage you to have a conversation about the techniques and skills they have learned during our relax kids sessions.

All teachers are gathering assessment data to help inform our end-of-year reports. These reports will be sent home at the end of week 6 and will be a key document to discuss at parent interviews in week 7.

As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if we can help in any way.
