What a week the seniors have had! A huge thank you to Rosie Hardie for planning and leading the Year 5 activity week. The Year 5s had an awesome week that included visits to the Otago Museum, a beach day and I think the highlight was the sleepover in the learning street. I am not sure how much sleep was actually had - but it sure sounded fun! Thanks also to Mr. Reid and Mrs. Cleland for their mahi during the week and to our whānau who were helpers also!
Year 6 camp was a blast! Outstanding weather, awesome attitudes, and exceptional parent helpers made for a truly successful and memorable camp. All of our tamariki sailed, kayaked, ziplined, built bivouacs, built rafts, as well as participated in general camp life. I was most impressed with the positive attitudes, growth mindsets, and the support our children gave one another, Abseiling was challenging but everyone one of our 55 Year 6's did it! I could not have been more proud. Many many thanks to our exceptional crew of parent helpers who were rock stars every step of the way! Also thanks to Mark Pickering and Anya Matravers for their brilliant efforts all week. We will be uploading all our photos to google drive this week and your child can add the relevant photos to their drive.
We are looking forward to our parent interviews this week and discussing your child's growth over the year and celebrating their successes.
As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if we can help in any way.
