Kia ora Kaikorai whānau

Thank you so much for your support this week. We knew we would be faced with this situation but wished we could have held it out a bit longer. We are really appreciating the caring and thoughtful messages we have received these last few days and they definitely have helped. We thank you for your support as we navigate the ever-changing covid-19 landscape.

Covid 19 plans

Under the new phase 3  framework, your child only has to stay at home and isolate if there is a positive case in your home or if your child is displaying any symptoms. Please continue to notify us if your child is away. We have distance learning packs we can deliver to you, just let us know. Mask wearing definitely helps us all, so please encourage your child to wear a mask while indoors.

Parent interviews

We are still proceeding with parent interviews next week. As these are via zoom or phone it is easy to go ahead. Please book your interview by following this link.

New build update

The handover of the next stage of the new build is not far away. This is a very exciting time for our children and staff to have something positive to look forward to. This will bring us the new classes for the middles, a learning street, a new green room and kitchen, two break out spaces which will be temporary offices for Sharon and me as well as a stunning new sports hall. The sports hall will be a game-changer for us all. Not only will it be outstanding for assemblies with new AV equipment, spacious and warm too but a purpose-built facility for PE lessons. I have included some photos below so you can see progress.

The aim is to be moved into these new spaces for the beginning of Term 2
